This beautiful ancestral home was built in 1926 by Alirio Nazareth's father, Antonio Jasso, who named it after his wife Alina. Back then, it was built on a deserted Calangute beach and today it feels like an oasis of tranquillity in the midst of the enjoyable hustle and bustle of the surrounding area.

For the last twenty five years, the owners regularly spent three months a year at Villa Alina escaping the cold London winter. During this time they worked hard to maintain the house as a most welcoming holiday home for their four children and nine grand children who have all grown to love everything about Goa. In March 2006, it was decided that the children would take responsibility for restoring this beautiful Portuguese influenced villa to its former glory but with the addition of some modern comforts.

The impressive private infinity swimming pool, which is exclusive to our guests, now makes Villa Alina a truly luxurious rental with a perfect balance between traditional Goan and modern living. Each of the five en-suite bedrooms is air conditioned and also has ceiling fans. Splendid soft furnishings and antique furniture make each room a pleasure to stay in. There are fully equipped kitchens, lounge areas with satellite TV and a magnificent outdoor dining veranda with seating for 12 people...and more.

We plan to enjoy this wonderful, comfortable ancestral home for ourselves but are also happy to rent it out to guests who enjoy staying in this type of self catering luxury.

Most people who visit Goa for the first time always return and we believe that Villa Alina will have that same memorable effect on all our guests.

We know you will enjoy and appreciate Villa Alina as much as we do.
